A small GB Studio game done for the A Game By its Cover Jam 2020 based on this cover. Due to life-related things, I was not able to get this game to the state I wanted it to be by the end of the jam, so hence me calling this a demo. I do plan on adding updates to the game post-jam, including:

  • The second shoot-em-up level
  • Boss battle with the sun
  • A life bar system

cute little game, could be made into a bigger thing for sure. Art is pretty solid but shooting and movement feels a little odd to me. I also found a bug where you could get the enemies to walk off the platform and walk around on air. they'll lunge after you and keep walking above you in the air.

Thanks for the feedback; I’m pretty aware of both of these things and plan on addressing them in the future (as best as I can at least with how limited GB Studio’s platformer mode is right now!)
